This Week, We Begin a New Prayer Series on Behaviors That Please God. My prayer is that when we are done, you will truly begin to reflect the Kingdom’s mentality and behavior. Our main Bible verses for this series are Proverbs 8:13 and Romans 12:2.
Proverbs 8:13: To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
Romans 12:2: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
Day 1: Humility and Obedience | 05-30-2023
Today, we are focusing our prayers on humility and obedience, guided by Micah 6:8 and James 4:7. We should humble ourselves before God, acknowledging His sovereignty and seeking His guidance. Our prayers should include a request for the strength to submit fully to His will, and resisting the temptations of the enemy. Through obedience, we can experience victory over the schemes of the devil and walk in the abundant life that God has prepared for us. As we pray for humility and obedience, let us open our hearts to God's transforming power and seek to please Him in all that we do. We invite you to join us in prayer as we draw nearer to God and reflect His Kingdom mentality and behavior in our lives.
Prayer Point 1: "He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8, NKJV) Pray for God to cultivate humility in your heart and help you recognize His authority in your life.
Prayer Point 2: "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7, NKJV) Seek forgiveness for times when you have been prideful or disobedient, and ask for the strength to walk in obedience.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
John 14:26; But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Prayer points
Gratitude for the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within me. I recognize that my body is a temple, and I am grateful for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Help me to always be aware of this truth and to honor you with my body.
Surrendering ourselves to God's ownership: Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am not my own, but I belong to you. I recognize that I have been bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Help me to live my life in a way that honors you, submitting every aspect of my being to your will.
Seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance and teaching: Heavenly Father, I pray for the Holy Spirit, the Advocate whom you have sent in the name of Jesus. I ask for wisdom and understanding, that the Holy Spirit may teach me all things and remind me of everything Jesus has spoken. Open my heart and mind to receive the guidance and revelation of the Holy Spirit.
A desire to honor God in all areas of life: Lord, I desire to honor you with my body, my thoughts, my actions, and every aspect of my being. Help me to live in a way that brings glory to your name. Strengthen me to resist temptations and to make choices that align with my will. May my life be a testimony of your grace and love.
Increased sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit, I invite you to have full control over my life. Help me to discern your promptings and to follow your guidance in every situation. Teach me to listen attentively to your still, small voice and to obey your instructions promptly and faithfully.
Transformation and sanctification: Gracious God, I surrender myself to your transformative work through the Holy Spirit. Please cleanse and purify my heart, mind, and body. Mold me into the image of Christ, that I may reflect your love, righteousness, and holiness to the world.
A life filled with the fruit of the Spirit: Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit would produce in me the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May these virtues be evident in my interactions with others, as I strive to honor you and be a light in the world.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Put to Death Whatever Belong to Earthly Nature. Be Cover With Whatever is Heavenly By The Power of Holy Spirit.
Colossians 3:5; Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Jn 16:1–15; “I have said these things to you so that you will not fall away. 2 ⌊They will expel you from the synagogue⌋, but an hour is coming that everyone who kills you will think they are offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they do not know the Father or me. 4 But I have said these things to you so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you about them.
Jesus’ Departure and the Coming of the Holy Spirit
“And I have not said these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going away to the one who sent me, and none of you is asking me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts. 7 But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he* comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me, 10 and concerning righteousness, because I am going away to the Father and you will see me no more, 11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.
12 I still have many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them* now. 13 But when he—the Spirit of truth—comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will proclaim to you the things to come. 14 He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and will proclaim it* to you. 15 Everything that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he takes from what is mine and will proclaim it* to you.
