1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

 

John 14:26; But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

 

Prayer points

 

1. Gratitude for the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within me. I recognize that my body is a temple, and I am grateful for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Help me to always be aware of this truth and to honor you with my body.
2. Surrendering ourselves to God's ownership: Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am not my own, but I belong to you. I recognize that I have been bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Help me to live my life in a way that honors you, submitting every aspect of my being to your will.
3. Seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance and teaching: Heavenly Father, I pray for the Holy Spirit, the Advocate whom you have sent in the name of Jesus. I ask for wisdom and understanding, that the Holy Spirit may teach me all things and remind me of everything Jesus has spoken. Open my heart and mind to receive the guidance and revelation of the Holy Spirit.
4. A desire to honor God in all areas of life: Lord, I desire to honor you with my body, my thoughts, my actions, and every aspect of my being. Help me to live in a way that brings glory to your name. Strengthen me to resist temptations and to make choices that align with my will. May my life be a testimony of your grace and love.
5. Increased sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit, I invite you to have full control over my life. Help me to discern your promptings and to follow your guidance in every situation. Teach me to listen attentively to your still, small voice and to obey your instructions promptly and faithfully.
6. Transformation and sanctification: Gracious God, I surrender myself to your transformative work through the Holy Spirit. Please cleanse and purify my heart, mind, and body. Mold me into the image of Christ, that I may reflect your love, righteousness, and holiness to the world.
7. A life filled with the fruit of the Spirit: Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit would produce in me the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May these virtues be evident in my interactions with others, as I strive to honor you and be a light in the world.
